Hot pepper seasons prevent "four falling"

The growth and development of peppers enters the high temperature season. These phenomena have a great impact on the yield of peppers, often resulting in a large reduction in production. It is the hot and rainy season, and we must pay attention to prevention.

First, the reasons for falling flowers, falling buds, falling fruits and fallen leaves

There are several main reasons: First, malnutrition. Due to malnutrition of the plants, especially excessive or insufficient nitrogen fertilizer, resulting in poor growth and affecting nutrient distribution, causing falling flowers and buds; second, high temperature and drought. When the temperature is higher than 28-30 °C, the soil drought will also cause the flowers to fall, and the third is the density is too large. Planting too dense, poor ventilation, poor light, it is also easy to cause falling flowers and fruit; the fourth is the dampness and dampness. Many days of rain and rain, the soil moisture is too large, affecting root respiration and normal growth, but also easy to make the flowers fall and fall; five is hot and rainy. During the hot and rainy seasons, especially after heavy rains, the temperature rises sharply, which is more likely to cause falling flowers and fruit, and even a large number of leaves; sixth is the impact of viral diseases. Viral diseases easily occur after high temperature and drought and aphids. When the virus disease occurs, the flowers fall seriously, sometimes there are a lot of fallen leaves; the seventh is pests. After being eaten by pests such as tobacco budworms, the capsicum flowers are easily detached, causing the flowers to fall.

Second, preventive measures

(1) Soil testing formula and balanced fertilization. According to the nutrient content in the soil, what is missing, so that the nutrient elements are balanced and applied, and the nitrogen fertilizer is not much applied. If the application of base fertilizer is not balanced, it must be supplemented when topdressing, to ensure complete nutrition.

(2) Planting a single plant, rationally planting it, not too dense, to prevent mutual shading and lengthening.

(3) Pay attention to watering when it is hot and dry. In the case of drought, watering should be done in time to keep the soil in the field moist, and it can also inhibit the development and spread of viral diseases. Watering in the hot season is done in the morning or in the evening. In this issue, you should also pay attention to listening to the weather forecast, keep abreast of the weather, determine whether you can water, avoid rain after pouring, and cause fallen leaves.

(4) Discharge in time after rain. Pepper is afraid of drought and fear of phlegm. After a few hours of pepper leeches, the plants will be wilted and severely die. Therefore, in the rainy season, you should also pay attention to flood control, and eliminate water in the field when it rains and after rain.

(5) Control pests and diseases in a timely manner. The diseases in this period mainly include viral diseases, anthracnose diseases and soft rot diseases. The effective agents should be used for prevention and control; the main pests are aphids, tobacco budworms and red spiders. However, high-toxic and high-residue pesticides should not be used to control pests and diseases.

(6) Spraying a growth regulator. It can play a role in regulating vegetative growth and reproductive growth, promoting flower preservation and fruit growth. Usually use the anti-falling solution spray, from 1 day before flowering to 2-3 days after flowering, spray once every 2-3 days; also use spray solution to help the strong solution, spray 3 during the flowering period -4 times.
