According to statistics, the most serious industries in Dongguan are laborers in the production lines of labor-intensive companies such as electronics, furniture, clothing, and toys.

The furniture industry also encountered the same problem. It is understood that compared with the "overcrowding" of major factories in early 2009, the current "labour shortage" has caused a large number of employment enterprises in the Pearl River Delta to become more crazy. After the warming up of the economic recovery, the furniture industry in the Pearl River Delta suffered a series of “labor shortages”. At present, although the economic environment is picking up, the economic conditions of many manufacturers are still difficult to change, and it is not likely to increase wages to recruit workers. This has also created an awkward situation today.

In addition, due to industrial restructuring, many companies in the South are shifting from labor-intensive to technology-based, which has caused the demand for skilled workers to soar.
