Coated carbide internal cooling high efficiency deep hole drilling

The FTO-GKXC coated carbide internal cold deep hole drill developed by OSG of Japan can realize the efficient processing of deep holes in the machining center. Its structural characteristics are: in-line coolant hole, which can ensure the drill bit works under sufficient cooling and lubrication conditions; the drill tip shape has good chip breaking performance, and the cross-section shape of the drill groove is smooth, which helps to improve processing efficiency and processing quality. The drill base material is made of ultra-fine particle cemented carbide with excellent strength, toughness and hardness. The surface of the base is coated with heat-resistant, high-temperature oxidation resistance and lubricity coating to ensure the drill bit has sufficient strength and toughness. Wear resistance, oxidation resistance and lubrication properties enable long-life, high-efficiency deep hole machining.
FTO-GDXC deep hole drilling can achieve high cutting speed of 80~125m/min when processing carbon steel and cast iron deep holes. When processing a deep hole of φ5mm and a hole depth of 150mm under the same conditions, the machining time per hole of the gun drill is 3 minutes and 20 seconds, while the FTO-GDXC deep hole drilling only takes 19 seconds, and the processing efficiency is improved by nearly 10 times. Because the deep hole drill is stable in axial thrust during drilling, it is suitable for unmanned automatic machining.
