Classification of fungicides and their applications

The fungicides are classified according to the principle of action, mainly protective fungicides and therapeutic (systemic) insecticides.
The protective bactericide is to protect the plant from the surface bactericide or to prevent the invasion of the bacteria before the bacteria invade the plant; the therapeutic (systemic) bactericide is after the plant is infected or infected, and the bactericide enters the plant. The action of a plant or disease changes the pathogenic process of the disease, thereby achieving the purpose of reducing or eliminating the disease. Since the effects of plant diseases on agricultural products at the early stage of the disease are not as obvious as diseases, they are often unable to attract enough attention in prevention and treatment. Once the germs invade, they are extremely popular and highly harmful. Therefore, in the prevention and treatment of diseases, it is emphasized that the prevention and treatment is the main, and the combination of prevention and treatment, that is, the use of protective fungicides before or during the disease, to prevent the end of the disease. Symptomatic treatment of therapeutic fungicides should be used if the disease has already occurred or is severely ill.

Protective fungicides are generally versatile and resistant to chemicals and can be used continuously. Bordeaux mixture is the earliest traditional protective fungicide. It has low cost and is widely used in vegetable and fruit trees. However, because Bordeaux mixture is a copper preparation, it is less safe for crops and easily causes red spiders, which affects the appearance quality of agricultural products. It is now being replaced by a new type of protective agent in addition to being used as an orchard. At present, the "bumpy" 80% wettable powder produced by American Rohm and Haas Company is considered to be an ideal protective fungicide. It has broad spectrum, strong protection, rain-resistant erosion and high safety. It is applied to the control of fungal diseases on vegetables, apples, pears, grapes and other crops. If the tree leaves are defoliated, the vegetables are affected by early and late blight and downy mildew. Spraying at the beginning of the disease or before the onset of the disease will form a protective film on the surface of the crop, which can kill the surface of the crop and prevent the disease from entering the planting mop, thus preventing the disease from occurring.

Therapeutic (systemic) fungicides are generally more specialized, emphasizing symptomatic medications, such as the specific effects of gram dew on cucumber downy mildew, but little control against pathogens such as powdery mildew and anthrax other than downy mildew. . Due to years of application, black mites are now highly resistant. The resistance of Phytophthora to cucumber downy mildew has also been seriously produced, so in the use of therapeutic fungicides, care must be taken to protect and mix therapeutic bactericides or rotate applications.
