US researchers discover new bimetallic alloy with hardness comparable to diamond

According to a report by the Russian Satellite Network on August 19, a major supplier of US auxiliary nuclear weapon systems and researchers at Sandia National Laboratory in New Mexico, the United States, have developed a new bimetallic alloy. According to reports, this alloy is very hard, and only diamonds can be compared with it in terms of wear resistance.

This alloy of platinum and gold has durability, and its strength level is 100 times higher than that of high-strength steel. It can withstand extremely high heat and friction, and can be used longer than existing materials in high-stress environments.

The researchers found that this accidentally discovered alloy also has lubricating properties-it will produce an ultra-thin lubricating layer of smooth, super-hard, diamond-like carbon when used, which can reduce the friction encountered by itself.

This alloy is currently considered to be the most wear-resistant metal alloy. It can be widely used by people in the electronics industry, manufacturing and space exploration.
