The first phase of the project, which was built by Alstom Hydro & Power Equipment (China) Co., Ltd., will achieve 450 kilowatts (kW) of power generation capacity and will be the first solar power generation project in Tianjin that can be connected to the grid. The first-phase investment of the project is close to 15 million yuan, and it shares 2,000 solar panels. It is estimated that the annual power generation capacity will reach 500,000 kilowatt-hours, and annual carbon dioxide emission reduction will be about 500 tons.

At present, the second phase of the project is also in the preliminary planning. The entire project plans to install a capacity of 2 MW. According to reports, this solar energy project can provide nearly 50% of Alstom's Tianjin plant's lighting.
