Shell LSA Experts Visit SINOPEC 701 to Demonstrate Expertise

On April 10, Shell LSE (Low specific activity) experts from the HSE department went deep into the SINOPEC 701 team to explain some of the LSA knowledge and protective measures to employees.

After the construction of the Toucan works area was completed, it was relocated to the Rabi work area. Most of the wells in the work area contained LSA, which was mainly produced with the formation fluid and attached to the inner wall of the oil pipe and downhole tools. The safety value of LSA was less than 2 cps, which was greater than 2cps will cause different degrees of damage to the human body and organs. The LSA value of the currently operating well RAB-219 is 5cps.

In response to the above, Shell LSA experts came to the scene to elaborate on the LSA's knowledge and protective measures, how to properly wear protective clothing , masks, and protective gloves, and told the construction team to pull the cordon in the work area. The LSA must pass a special test to ensure that no substance containing LSA is attached to each person, thus achieving 100% safety protection.
