Ningbo Materials Invents a High-Efficiency Method for Preparing "White Graphene"

Hexagonal boron nitride nanosheets, also known as "white graphene." Due to the similar structure, graphene and boron nitride nanosheets have similar properties such as excellent mechanical and thermal properties, especially thermal conductivity. Although graphene has been extensively studied in the application of heat conduction, its electrical conductivity limits the application of graphene in the field of insulation. In contrast, boron nitride nanosheets have good electrical insulation properties and are therefore particularly suitable for heat dissipation materials in the field of thermal insulation. Although boron nitride nanosheets have many excellent properties, their research and application are far less than that of graphene. This is mainly due to the lack of efficient and low-cost preparation of boron nitride nanosheets. Since the force between the boron nitride layer and the layer is far stronger than the force between the graphenes, preparing the nanosheets by liquid phase exfoliation of the hexagonal boron nitride powder is more challenging. So far, although boron nitride nanosheets have been prepared by ball milling, intercalation and chemical stripping, they still have the disadvantages of high energy consumption, long process time, low yield, and the need to use expensive or toxic chemical reagents. The place.

Based on the above reasons, the functional carbon materials team of the Surface Business Department of the Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology and Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences invented a method for preparing hexagonal boron nitride nanosheets by using a combination of molten alkali and ultrasonic exfoliation. The stripping method not only has a simple process, is inexpensive and easy to use, but also has low requirements for equipment, and is convenient for large-scale production, which can greatly reduce costs. The product is a boron nitride nanosheet with an average thickness of about 3 nanometers, and the yield can reach 19%. The boron nitride nanosheets are formed into a tightly stacked structure by suction filtration, and the resulting thin film of boron nitride nanosheets is an ultrathin thermal film. The in-plane thermal conductivity can reach 58.3 W/m·K, laying the foundation for the application of boron nitride nano-sheets in thermal and thermal management applications.

At present, related work has been published in the magazine "2D Materials, 2017, 4, 025047" and applied for a national invention patent (201710128745.X). The research was funded by the National "Years of Thousand Talents Program" and the "100 People Program" of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the National Natural Science Foundation of China (51573201), the Zhejiang Provincial Philanthropy Technology Applied Research Project (2016C31026), and the 3315 Innovation Team Project.

Bearing Housing

Bearing housings are modular assemblies designed to make it easy to install bearings and shafts, while protecting bearings, extending their operating life and simplifying maintenance.

Housings are available in many sizes, and generally fall into five standard categories: split plummer (or pillow) block housings, non-split plummer block housings, flanged housings, take-up housings and two-bearing housings. These products can be designed to meet specific duty requirements such as load, speed and operating environmental conditions.

Non-standard bearing housing designs can also be supplied to particular customer requirements: for example, where special shaft centre heights, unusual sealing arrangements or non-standard materials of construction may be specified.

If ease of installation and maintenance are prime considerations, then split plummer block housings are an excellent choice as they not only accommodate pre-assembled shafts, but also simplify bearing inspections and maintenance as the shaft does not need to be disassembled. These units are designed for self-aligning ball bearings, spherical roller bearings and CARB toroidal roller bearings. Non-split plummer block housings are preferred when there are heavy loads acting in a direction other than toward the support surface. They are also used when the housing has to be mounted from the end of the shaft.

We have specialized in producing US/EURO standard bearing housings more than 10 years, could help to design the bearing housing or produce the bearing housing according to your requirements. (OEM accepted)
