Liaoning's textile and apparel exports increased slightly

According to customs statistics, in the first two months of this year, Liaoning Province exported 460 million U.S. dollars worth of clothing and clothing accessories (textiles and garments), an increase of 4.1% over the same period of last year.

Since entering 2010, textile and apparel exports in Liaoning province have shown a trend of decline. In January, exports declined slightly, and exports reached 265 million U.S. dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 15.5% and a year-on-year decrease of 19.2%. Exports in the month of February were 195 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 52.1% year-on-year and a drop of 26.5% from the previous quarter.

In the first two months of this year, Liaoning Province exported 216 million U.S. dollars in textiles and garments through processing trade, a year-on-year decrease of 6.6 percent, accounting for 47 percent of the total textile and clothing exports of Liaoning Province during the same period, and 211 million U.S. dollars in textiles and clothing exports in general trade, an increase of 15.7 percent. , accounting for 45.9%.

Foreign-invested enterprises exported 230 million U.S. dollars of textiles and clothing, down 7.4%, accounting for 50%; private enterprises exported 166 million U.S. dollars, up 29.4%, accounting for 36.1%; over the same period, state-owned enterprises exported 248 million U.S. dollars, up 12.1%, accounting for 10.4%.

Exports of textiles and clothing to Japan amounted to US$171 million, down 3.4%; exports to the EU were US$117 million, up 8.2%; exports to South Korea were US$73 million, down 0.9%; exports to the US were US$0.4 billion, up 2.5%; Market exports accounted for 87.2% of Liaoning's textile and apparel exports during the same period. In addition, exports of ASEAN 6.51 million US dollars, a substantial increase of 3.6 times.
