Researchers at the Micro-Nano Technology Research Center successfully implemented multiple switching motions for the "nano-rocket" using the photo-thermal conversion effect of near-infrared laser irradiation. The basic principle is that at the critical chemical fuel concentration, the "nano-rocket" is at rest, but the temperature increase caused by the infrared laser irradiation of the nano-rocket will accelerate the diffusion rate of the fuel and the subsequent chemical catalytic reaction rate, triggering the nanomachine. Fast motion; and when the near-infrared laser is removed, a decrease in temperature will result in a corresponding decrease in the chemical catalysis rate, so that the “nano rocket” will slow down and stop.
