Construction workers should strengthen protection when the weather turns cold

In the past few days, cold weather has affected all parts of the country and temperatures have generally declined. Huanghuai areas in northern China have even experienced severe hazy weather. The meteorological department reminded the public that hazy weather minimizes outdoor activities and properly wears and uses masks.

The emergence of haze causes air pollution, which is not conducive to the spread of pollutants in the air, especially the drop in temperature, which has an impact on the work of construction workers. The Zanghuang County Housing and Construction Bureau of Hebei held a special meeting for this purpose and formulated the "Working Program for Safe Production in Construction Workplaces in Winter" to provide training for contractors at all sites under construction, and taught the winter production safety system and regulations to further improve the overall site personnel. Safety awareness, firmly establish the "safety first, prevention-based" ideology, fully understand the importance of winter work safety on the construction site, enhance the sense of responsibility and urgency to do a good job in the construction site safety production, and resolutely curb construction safety accidents. Further strengthen the standardized management of construction site, road dust, and dump dust, and stop earthwork operations that may generate a lot of dust to improve the environmental quality.

Implement responsibilities to ensure safe production. Each construction site construction contractor takes the lead in the safety production work of the site, and specifies the responsibility for safe production of each participating unit. The construction site must take effective measures to ensure that all safety protection measures are in place and eliminate illegal operations. Contrary to the “Notice of the State Council Concerning Further Strengthening of Enterprise Safety Work”, the construction general contracting unit will, in conjunction with the supervision unit and construction unit, focus on the safety inspection of deep foundation pits and surrounding monitoring and structures, and focus on inspections of construction safety conditions such as scaffolding, hoisting machinery, and hanging baskets. Investigate the use of electricity for construction, the protection of “four ports”, the establishment of formwork support systems, etc., and comprehensively prevent falls, object strikes, and collapse accidents in high places.
