On April 13, the 6th China New Energy International Summit Forum was held in Beijing. The latest statistics released in the 2011-2012 China New Energy Industry Annual Report show that in 2011, China's PV installation reached 2.2GW, breaking GW for the first time and becoming the world's third largest PV installation country. Li Hejun, president of the New Energy Chamber of Commerce of the National Federation of Industry and Commerce and chairman of the board of Hanergy Holding Group Co., Ltd., said that China's new energy industry is undergoing changes, product quality is steadily improving, production costs continue to decrease, and international competitiveness is increasing. Li Hejun suggested that in the future China should vigorously develop photovoltaic building integration (BIPV) and effectively expand the domestic market so that the Chinese people can obtain tangible benefits from the revolutionary development of new energy.
