Sinochem New Network News Recently, Sinopec Baling Petrochemical Company's Synthetic Rubber Division, Epoxy Resin Division and Technology Center have undertaken the development and industrialization of curing agents for fiber reinforced composite materials, and the water-soluble impurities in SEBS glue. In addition to technology development, medical SIS new brand development, SIS hydrogenation pilot technology development, dicyclopentadiene-phenol epoxy resin synthesis process research and other five projects, through the technical appraisal and evaluation organized by Sinopec Group Company.

Among them, the development project of water-soluble impurity removal technology in SEBS glue adopts emulsion washing and acid neutralization technology, so that the content of lithium in the thermoplastic rubber SEBS product with the reputation of “green rubber” is greatly reduced, and the color stability of the product is obviously improved. The product application field has been broadened to meet the application requirements of the medical field (such as infusion bag), and the overall technology is at the international advanced level.

For the first time, the new SIS product development project extends the application of SIS products to the field of Chinese medicine drug-loading. The SIS products developed have the characteristics of low dosing temperature, good initial adhesion, good adhesion, and moderate peeling force, which can meet the plaster and paste. The preparation and performance requirements of the agent avoid the plant protease allergy caused by the natural rubber plaster. The project has now completed the pilot test and the product has been approved by the user.

The SIS hydrogenation pilot technology development project has developed three pilot product grades and applied for four invention patents. The products are mainly used for optical cable grease and medium and low-end lubricants to increase viscosity. The project is next planned to be mass produced on the proposed industrial plant.

The curing agent for fiber reinforced composite materials is a matching curing agent product developed by vacuum impregnating epoxy resin for wind power blades. At present, the curing agent has been sold for about 300 tons. The high strength, high modulus and high toughness of the product can fully meet the application requirements of downstream wind power blade manufacturers.

The dicyclopentadiene-phenol epoxy resin developed by the research project of the synthesis process of dicyclopentadiene-phenol epoxy resin has good market application prospects in the fields of high-speed printing ink and laminate.
