Atlas Copco (Italy) Co., Ltd. has acquired Perfora GmbH. This is an Italian company that produces and sells integrated drilling and cutting equipment for stone fields, such as quarries that produce rough stones. Perfora is a private company based in Bagnolo, northern Italy. It currently has 43 employees and has an annual sales income of 10 million euros (ie 90 million Swedish kronor). Its products, including diamond wire saws and rigs for stone applications, are being sold in some countries around the world through direct sales and local distributors. “Perfora is a major supplier of this market segment with high customer focus and quality products,†said Bob Fassl, President of the Mining and Rock Excavation Technology Department. “This deal will give us a good opportunity for growth. As part of the Atlas Copco Group, Perfora will become an indispensable global supplier of tailor-made equipment for stone producers." Perfora will be part of the Atlas Copco Open Rock Drilling Division. Both parties agreed not to disclose the transaction price.
