What is the difference between national standards and industry standards?

National standards are of great significance to the development of national economy and technology, and require standards set by uniform technical requirements throughout the country. National standards apply throughout the country, and other levels of standards must not conflict with them. National standards are the main body of the four-level standard system.

Industry standards refer to the standards established for technical requirements that do not have national standards but need to be unified within a countrywide industry. Industry standards are complementary to national standards and are professional and technical standards. The formulation of industry standards may not be inconsistent with national standards. After the national standards are published, the corresponding industry standards will be abolished.
