Vehicle rescue skills (tools and equipment) stable equipment

Stable operations need to be safe, rapid, and effective, and the direction of the vehicle imposes requirements on the methods and equipment used.

We can divide stability into three phases:

1 、Manual

The manual stabilization does not require equipment, and medical interventions that can be quickly involved can be performed while the rescue personnel are holding the vehicle in their hands to stop the movement.

2 , wedges and pads

Wedges and pads can be used to fill the gap between the road surface and the vehicle (or in the middle of two cars if needed) to prevent movement. There are many types of wedges and pads, but generally three types are used:

1 pads and wedges

2 trapezoidal stopper

3 wooden truss brackets

3 , other equipment (such as support rods and pillars)

When more complex stability is required, such as when the vehicle is on the side or when one vehicle is on top of another vehicle, the support rods and struts can be used. Other equipment such as high / low pressure lifting air cushions, winches and even cranes should be considered.
