How do you solve the problem of maintenance and use cost of aluminum body?

Dai Murray: Your question can be answered from three aspects. In the front, Chery Jaguar Land Rover uses an all-aluminum technology car. Its side panels and covers are very easy to repair, and there is no difference from conventional car repair. Second, although the sub-assembly of the aluminum car body is made at the Changshu factory, the related parts and components have already been provided to distributors all over the country, so they can get spare parts and repairs very conveniently. Third, all of our aluminum body parts are manufactured in China and have been localized, so we have a good control over the cost.

In addition, although everyone in the conventional understanding will think that aluminum technology is a new technology, in fact, Jaguar Land Rover has been using all-aluminum body technology for a long time and has rich experience, so we have very strong strength to our partners and distributors. What is the significance of Chery Jaguar Land Rover Phase II capacity expansion project for enterprise development?

Chen Xuefeng: Our second-phase expansion project is not large in terms of production capacity - only 70,000 units. Dai Murui: Due to the special nature of aluminum, they cannot be achieved by welding. Otherwise, the efficiency will be very low and it will be very disorganized. The self-piercing riveting technology is a high-level, high-quality joining method. Compared with the traditional welding, the connection accuracy is higher. We rivet the panel. Once the riveting is completed, we can immediately know whether the accuracy is up to the mark, but if It is welding. It takes a few more welds to know if the accuracy is up to standard. In the future, we will continue to introduce more models that use the smart aluminum body structure.
